What The Livery Fund Does

If an independent livery driver is involved in an accident while on a covered service and sustains one of the types of catastrophic injuries defined by the New York State Executive law, then the Fund provides such person with full workers' compensation benefits. Such also applies if an independent livery driver is on a covered service and is injured as a result of being the victim of a crime. If an independent livery driver is involved in an accident while on a covered service and does not sustain one of the enumerated types of injuries defined by the New York State Executive law, then the livery driver is entitled to no-fault benefits from the no-fault insurance carrier for the vehicle they were operating at the time of the subject accident.
